One of my favorite places to hang out in the evening is in my shed with a fine cigar. One day I’ll have a real garage for projects and cigar smoking but until then I’ll just have to enjoy my shed. I recently got some new toys so I was ready to play. I just picked up a strobe and trigger set on the cheap as well as a remote trigger for my camera.
I wanted to get some cool pictures of cigar smoke but I found out quickly that the timing was a bit tricky especially doing self portraits with the remote in the dark… The pictures with the cigar glowing were 6 second exposure with the flash. The flash went off and I held really still puffing the cigar to get the red glow.
